Interested in working towards the EB-1A/O-1 authorship criterion?

Working towards EB-2 NIW and want to show research contributions to your field?

I will be working with Jorge Ortiz (an Associate Professor at Rutgers University who has over 2300 citations and has presented at top research conferences) on a course for industry professionals in tech who are interested in learning:

  • How to put together papers for conferences and journals, and articles for technical publications (such as IEEE magazines), which could help with the EB-1A/O-1 authorship criterion and also with EB-2 NIW.

    • For example:

  • How to peer review for conferences and journals.

You will also get access to peer review opportunities (which could help with the EB-1A/O-1 judging criterion and also with EB-2 NIW) through reviewer referrals from Jorge (you will only be assigned papers that you will be able to review based on your expertise).

We will be keeping this first cohort small so that Jorge is able to provide as much individualized guidance as possible.

Also, here is a recording of our last information session: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qfyoRcAi4AcRlAejh8_yOavgFIsHEkoQ/view?usp=sharing

Here is more information about the course: https://industryacademics.carrd.co/

To sign up for the session, please fill out this application form: https://forms.gle/v61xhopxbcnccNxT9

Note: this is a selective, application-only course.

About me:

My name is Jason and I work with top immigration lawyers on educational resources related EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, and O-1. Most of the profile-building insights I share in this newsletter come from my work with these lawyers.

As a paid subscriber to this newsletter, you get access to:

  • My EB-1A/EB-2 NIW/O-1 profile-building opportunities database (400+ opportunities so far, updated every 2-3 days). Once you become a paid subscriber, I will share this spreadsheet with you.

  • My private EB-1A/EB-2 NIW/O-1 profile-building group (link below, you will also get access to the newsletter chat). Members have been able to:

    • Land speaking opportunities.

    • Land peer review and other judging opportunities (through a university contact listed in my newsletter resources and through peer reviewer members of my private group).

    • Find co-authors for papers.

    • Get in touch with reporters.

    • Find independent references.

    • Get involved in top member organizations in their field.

    • Work with other profile-builders.

    • Judge hackathons.

  • My contacts database (these are universities, event organizers, and people involved in relevant organizations that I have spoken to, you can mention my name if you decide to reach out to them).

  • Video resources (recorded question and answer-style videos with EB-1A recipients, recordings of my EB-1A profile-building office hours), my guides to EB-1A and EB-2 NIW profile-building, and my reviews of AAO decisions (which go into USCIS’s reasoning for denying an EB-1A/O-1 petition). I review both EB-1A and O-1 decisions.

  • Here are some reviews of the newsletter.

Once you become a paid subscriber, I will share all of the above resources with you via Google Drive (links below).
