Four papers (IEEE, AAAI, etc.) and 10 NeurIPS peer review opportunities, an update on IndustryAcademics
A member from the first IndustryAcademics cohort recently submitted and got four papers accepted in IEEE conferences and the upcoming AAAI Fall Symposia!
Interested in working towards the EB-1A/O-1 authorship criterion?
Looking to strengthen your EB-2 NIW profile?
I will be working with Jorge Ortiz (an Associate Professor at Rutgers University who has over 2400 citations and has presented at top research conferences) on the next cohort of IndustryAcademics, a four week course for industry professionals in tech who are interested in learning:
How to put together papers for conferences and journals, and articles for technical publications (such as IEEE magazines), which could help with the EB-1A/O-1 authorship criterion and also with EB-2 NIW.
How to peer review for conferences and journals (members of the first cohort have so far reviewed 10 papers for NeurIPS).
Here is more information about the course: https://industryacademics.carrd.co/
To sign up for the next information session, please fill out this application form: https://forms.gle/v61xhopxbcnccNxT9
You will also get access to peer review opportunities (which could help with the EB-1A/O-1 judging criterion and also with EB-2 NIW) through reviewer referrals from Jorge (you will only be assigned papers that you will be able to review based on your expertise).
You will also get direct feedback from Jorge on your paper manuscripts (direct feedback will be based on Jorge’s understanding of how reviewers review papers based on his extensive experience as a reviewer).
We will be keeping this next cohort small so that Jorge is able to provide as much individualized guidance as possible.
Also, here is a recording of our last information session: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qfyoRcAi4AcRlAejh8_yOavgFIsHEkoQ/view?usp=sharing
Note: this is a selective, application-only course.

Independent References:
I also currently work with nine experts (an Associate Professor at Rutgers, a Stanford guest lecturer, the former CTO of MySpace, etc.) on EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, and O-1 independent reference letters. You can submit a request for a letter or letters here: https://forms.gle/k5NpBURkfo5ozgL1A
As a paid subscriber to this newsletter, you get access to:
My EB-1A/EB-2 NIW/O-1 profile-building opportunities database (400+ opportunities so far, updated every 2-3 days). Once you become a paid subscriber, I will share this spreadsheet with you.
My private EB-1A/EB-2 NIW/O-1 profile-building group (link below, you will also get access to the newsletter chat). Members have been able to:

Land conference committee positions.
Find co-authors for papers.
Get in touch with reporters.
Find independent references.
Get involved in top member organizations in their field.

My contacts database (these are universities, event organizers, and people involved in relevant organizations that I have spoken to, you can mention my name if you decide to reach out to them). Also, next week, I will be speaking to someone who has won six hackathons to see if he can share insights on how to land hackathon judging opportunities.
Video resources (recorded question and answer-style videos with EB-1A recipients, recordings of my EB-1A profile-building office hours), my guides to EB-1A and EB-2 NIW profile-building, and my reviews of AAO decisions (which go into USCIS’s reasoning for denying an EB-1A/O-1 petition). I review both EB-1A and O-1 decisions.
Once you become a paid subscriber, I will share all of the above resources with you via Google Drive (links below).
