On an upcoming YC hackathon with Anthropic, Morph, etc., and updates to the outreach initiative

Hi everyone! With current members of this initiative, in around a month, I have been able to help them land:

  • 16 peer review opportunities with NeurIPS, a top AI conference, and an IEEE AI conference.

  • 16 industry-focused hackathon judging opportunities (including an AWS hackathon).

  • 2 conference committee invitation with a top AI conference.

Here are reviews from current members: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FfQJbVlRmRGxhj4JbFQD6YSScdAvGY_PrTLo9ebrHPs/edit?usp=sharing

Two members of the outreach initiative will also be judging a YC hackathon.

Interested in judging the hackathon or similar hackathons?

Feel free to apply to the outreach initiative!

Also, most of the opportunities that I come across through the outreach initiative are from sending out 100-300 messages every week.

Interested in attending the hackathon at the YC offices?

Anthropic and Morph LLM will be hosting the AI Coding Agents Hackathon where you can help build the next generation of AI Coding Agents—tools that can build websites, games, update themselves, and just in time software.

Thank you to Tejas Bhakta for sharing this opportunity with me!

Tejas is the founder of Morph (YC S23).

Morph's (YC S23) Fast Apply model is like Cursors's Fast Apply model. Its being used for fast, reliable edits by top AI code gen companies like Framer, create.xyz, and more. They also provide embeddings, and reranking models so its a one stop shop for coding agents.

Drop-in API or full on-prem.

The Morph team is made up of ex-Tesla Autopilot engineers who've trained models at the largest scale. They're building Morph so teams building AI coding agents can focus on building unique features their customers love.

About me:

My name is Jason and I work with top immigration lawyers on educational resources related EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, and O-1. Most of the profile-building insights I share in this newsletter come from my work with these lawyers.

I also currently work with nine experts (an Associate Professor at Rutgers, a Stanford guest lecturer, the former CTO of MySpace, etc.) on EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, and O-1 independent reference letters. You can submit a request for a letter or letters here: https://forms.gle/k5NpBURkfo5ozgL1A

As a paid subscriber to this newsletter, you get access to:

  • My EB-1A/EB-2 NIW/O-1 profile-building opportunities database (400+ opportunities so far, updated every 2-3 days). Once you become a paid subscriber, I will share this spreadsheet with you.

  • My private EB-1A/EB-2 NIW/O-1 profile-building group (link below, you will also get access to the newsletter chat). Members have been able to:

    • Land speaking opportunities.

    • Land peer review and other judging opportunities (through a university contact listed in my newsletter resources and through peer reviewer members of my private group).

    • Land conference committee positions.

    • Find co-authors for papers.

    • Get in touch with reporters.

    • Find independent references.

    • Get involved in top member organizations in their field.

    • Work with other profile-builders.

    • Judge hackathons.

  • My contacts database (these are universities, event organizers, and people involved in relevant organizations that I have spoken to, you can mention my name if you decide to reach out to them). Also, next week, I will be speaking to someone who has won six hackathons to see if he can share insights on how to land hackathon judging opportunities.

  • Video resources (recorded question and answer-style videos with EB-1A recipients, recordings of my EB-1A profile-building office hours), my guides to EB-1A and EB-2 NIW profile-building, and my reviews of AAO decisions (which go into USCIS’s reasoning for denying an EB-1A/O-1 petition). I review both EB-1A and O-1 decisions.

  • Here are some reviews of the newsletter.

Once you become a paid subscriber, I will share all of the above resources with you via Google Drive (links below).
